Anna Paquin (born Winnipeg, was raised in Wellington) is the name of a Canadian actress. Paquin, who was raised in Wellington but was born and raised in Winnipeg made her acting d but with The Piano. At age 11 she was the youngest Academy Award winner ever for Best Actress. Anna Paquin's full name was Anna Helene Paquin. Born on the 24th of July, 1982 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada, she was the first Canadian birthed New Zealand actress. As an infant, she won the Academy Award for best support actress. Paquin was born in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. She moved to New Zealand as a young kid. In response to an audition, Flora McGrath was cast as the daughter a Scottish pianist. Flora McGrath is the child of a mute Scottish musician who came from Scotland to New Zealand to marry in the 19th century. In her teens, she moved from New Zealand to United States. Paquin started her acting career as a child with a part as the Jane Eyre title character in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre as well as an important role on the film Fly Away Home. Paquin was the character Frankie Addams as a child in the 1996 television version of Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. Paquin also had a role of Queen of Spain, in Steven Spielbergs 1997 feature film Amistad. She played teenagers on Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000) and A Walk on the Moon (2000). The actress played groupie Polexia Aphrodisa on Almost Famous (2000).
